CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Corporate & Fiduciary Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Corporate Lawyer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant should be educated to degree level in Law and will be a member of the Cyprus Bar Association or a Cyprus Qualified Lawyer. You will need to possess approximately 3+ years of previous experience as a Corporate Lawyer, gained working for either a Law Firm, Corporate Service Provider, or within an in-house capacity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential, as well as hands-on experience and knowledge of Quorum software. As part of your role, you will act as the designated GDPR Officer (DPO).

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Preparing and drafting agendas, resolutions, minutes and other documents for all meetings of the Board of Directors/Shareholders of the Group companies.
  • Perform maintenance of corporate files and registers.
  • Providing guidance on commercial, corporate law and regulatory matters and performing legal research for these matters.
  • Managing relationships and coordinating advice from third party professionals, including administrators and legal counsel.
  • Liaising with the Registrar of Companies and other governmental bodies in Cyprus.
  • Drafting various types of agreements and contracts.
  • Compliance/KYC procedures.
  • Act as the GDPR Officer (DPO).

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Educated to degree level in Law.
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association or Qualified Lawyer.
  • Approximately 3+ years of experience in Corporate Law, gained working for a Law Firm, Service Provider or within an In-House capacity.
  • Fluency in Greek & English.
  • Any relevant compliance certifications from the Cyprus Bar Association and/or CySEC will be considered an advantage.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High professional standards with a strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience using Quorum software.
