CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established company created to provide a full range of Loan and Real Estate Management services for one of Europe’s leading investors, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their expanding team of professionals. An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other relevant field will be considered an advantage and candidates working towards the ACCA or ACA qualification including newly qualified members are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience and speak an excellent level of fluent English and Greek.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients in connection with invoice authorisation and reconciliation.
  • Raise, process, reconcile and confirm inter-company invoices.
  • Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/year-end accounts, statutory accounts, Regulatory Accounts and Contractual Accounts.
  • Update financial date in databases to ensure information will be accurate and available when needed.
  • Assist with other financial accounting projects.
  • Assistance with budgeting and forecasting activities for the various entities.
  • Ad hoc duties and assignments as and when required by the line Manager.
  • Any other duties as required.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Ideally Educated to Degree level in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • Membership of the ACA or ACCA is considered an advantage (Newly Qualified) but not essential; candidates working towards a professional qualification are also encouraged to apply.
  • Good communication skills – will need to cooperate with other teams and communicate effectively in English and Greek.
  • Knowledge of any accounting systems is highly desirable.
  • Able to work within deadlines.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn fast and adapt.
  • Ability to multi-task.
