Front-End Engineer (Remote)
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an innovative online platform that connects care providers with healthcare organizations, we are seeking to recruit a Front-End Engineer to join their newly established operations here in Cyprus, on a fully remote basis. As a Front-End Engineer, you will take full ownership of a Next.js-based web application and contribute to mobile user experience. Working closely with product, design, and backend teams, you will be responsible for building, optimizing and maintaining performant, accessible, and scalable interfaces. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related field, who possess approximately 5+ years of Front-End development experience, with a proven record of production projects. You will need strong proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), as well as a deep understanding of state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or similar libraries). Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must, and knowledge of the Dutch language will be considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience, along with fully remote working options within Cyprus.
Key
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop
and maintain the Front-End using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate
with Back-End engineers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flow.
- Build
responsive, high-performance, and accessible user interfaces.
- Optimize
for speed, reliability, and seamless mobile compatibility.
- Work
with designers to translate UI/UX concepts into production-quality code.
- Contribute
to architectural and product decisions that shape the user experience.
- Handle
front-end build and deployment pipelines (basic DevOps familiarity).
- Write
clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern development
practices.
Key
Skills/Experience:
- University
degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,
or similar is highly desirable.
- 5+
years of Front-End development experience with a proven record of
production projects.
- Strong
proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Deep
understanding of state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or similar).
- Solid
grasp of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Experience
integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity
with front-end build tools (Vite, Webpack, or similar) and CI/CD
pipelines.
- Excellent
English communication skills.
Nice to
Have:
- Experience
with React Native, PWAs, or real-time features (push notifications, live
updates).
- Interest
in healthcare platforms or demand-supply systems.
