CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding CySEC Licensed Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their growing team based in Limassol. Working alongside the CFO, the successful applicant will oversee all day-to-day operations, procedures and tasks of the Accounting function of the Company, contributing to the implementation and continued enhancement of Accounting & Financial Reporting procedures. As part of your role, you will also take ownership for the safeguarding of client Financial Instruments and Funds related controls including their design, implementation, regular monitoring as well as their periodic testing in line with the Company’s policies. You should be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or another relevant field and will ideally be a full member of a recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CPA). Previous experience working for Top 4 Firms is highly desirable as well as experience working within the Financial Services sector. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, procedures and tasks of the Accounting function.
  • Oversee the accounting system and ensure corporate and regulatory guidelines alignment.
  • Contribute to the implementation and continued enhancement of Accounting and Financial Reporting procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure that all accounting entries are recorded timely and accurately in the accounting system.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely payments of the Company’s financial obligations.
  • Keep track of PSPs and Banks balances daily and ensure they agree to the company’s internal records.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular KPI/KRI reports including operating and financial metrics, and other reports as required from time to time.
  • Assist the Head of Finance in the timely preparation of Management Accounts, Cash Flow / Liquidity reports, and other reports as required from time to time.
  • Oversight of the calculation, payment and proper recording of the company’s tax liabilities, including corporation tax, VAT, foreign taxes ( US WHT, SDRT, FFTT, etc) and reconciling the amounts to accounting and administration systems.
  • Assist in the coordination with external internal auditors and with preparation of information to complete the external audit.

  • Responsible for Safeguarding of client Financial Instruments and Funds related controls including their design, implementation, regular monitoring as well as their periodic testing, implementing changes where needed in line with the Company’s relevant policies.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Educated to degree level in Accounting/Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering or any other relevant field is desirable.
  • Recognised professional Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CPA) will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience is a must with ideally 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience working for Top 4 Firms will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Previous experience working in the Financial Services sector will be considered an advantage.
  • Any CySEC certification/s will be considered a plus, but not essential.
  • Strong data analytics and Excel skills.
  • Strong ownership of own work and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable maturity, professionalism, commercialism and gravitas.
  • Able to prioritise in a fast moving, changing environment, awareness of the changing dynamics and the different urgencies that such changes entail.
  • Ability to inspire confidence of the CFO and other senior managers through timely delivery of information and plans.
  • Work independently of CFO, but consult where appropriate.
  • Demonstrates passion - approaches all tasks in an enthusiastic way.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work within a matrix management structure and an international environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
