CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading specialist in Asset Management & Advisory Services, with offices in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful applicant will primarily be responsible for managing accounting matters for the Group, including foreign entities. As part of your role, you will prepare detailed management accounts and budgets, ensure accurate processing of accounts payable and supplier payments, prepare and issue invoices to clients, and more! Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field, and holders of the CAT and/or LCCI Higher accounting certifications are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess approximately 2+ years of relevant professional experience, with previous experience managing accounting functions for multiple locations in a multinational corporation or professional services firm considered an advantage. Fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must, along with strong knowledge of MS Excel. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage accounting and operational matters for the Group, including foreign entities.
  • Prepare detailed management accounts and budgets.
  • Ensure accurate processing of accounts payable and supplier payments, including calculations, reviews, and settlements.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly intercompany reconciliations.
  • Handle cash management tasks (bank payments and reconciliations).
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and planning for the Company and Group.
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions for systems and daily processes.
  • Investigate and resolve payment-related issues, providing support to clients with payment queries.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and assist with the annual audit process.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and filing of regulatory returns (VAT, income tax, SITs, and annual returns).

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, or/and CAT qualification will be considered an advantage.
  • LCCI Higher in Accounting or equivalent diploma.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a relevant position
  • Proven experience managing accounting functions for multiple locations in a multinational corporation or professional services firm is desirable.
  • Proficiency in both English and Greek (oral and written).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP B1 would be beneficial.
  • Conscientious, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Flexible, resilient, and adaptable to change.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong focus on task completion.
