Direct Tax Specialist
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax related services to both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit a Direct Tax Specialist to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible the preparation of tax computations on behalf of both individuals and companies as well as assisting with tax compliance work. Holders of the ACA/ACCA qualification or those working towards it are encouraged to apply and you will need to possess approximately 2+ years of proven experience within a Direct Tax related position. Any relevant Tax qualification such as ADIT is desirable and excellent communication skills in Greek & English are essential.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparation
of tax computations for individuals and companies.
- Assisting
with tax compliance work.
- Preparation
of tax rulings that will need to be submitted to the Cyprus Tax
Department.
- Providing
taxation consulting and advice to clients.
- Participation
in tax inspections performed by the Tax authorities to clients.
- Stay
up-to-date with developments in the tax field.
- Work with other departments, including the Audit & Accounting team.
Key Skills/Experience:
- An
academic background relating to Accounting, Finance or Economics is
advantageous.
- ACA/ACCA
qualified or working towards the qualification is desirable, but not
essential.
- Approximately
2+ years of experience in a Direct Tax related position is essential.
- Any
relevant Tax certification will be considered as an advantage.
- Knowledge
of the Cyprus tax legislation.
- Knowledge
of the provisions of Double Tax Treaties will be considered an advantage.
- Fluency
in Greek & English, both verbal and written.
- Ability
to take initiative and identify solutions
- Ability
to work well under pressure and to complete assignments within time
constraints and deadlines.
- IT literacy.
