CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Audit & Accounting services to both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accounting Supervisor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will form part of our client’s Management Team and will be responsible for the smooth running of the Client Accounting department. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other relevant field and members of a professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CPA) are encouraged to apply. You will need to have previous experience in a relevant role with sound knowledge of Accounting, VAT & Payroll, as well as a strong track record of leading and mentoring less experienced team members. Fluency in both Greek & English is essential.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and supervise a team of client accountants/bookkeepers.
  • Reviews the work of each team member and provide feedback in regards to international accounting standards.
  • Manage a portfolio of both local and international clients.
  • Preparation and review of financial statements.
  • Respond to client requests timely and effectively.
  • Process accounting ledger transactions.
  • Perform reconciliations of control accounts, including all bank, debtor and creditor accounts.
  • Prepare all necessary reports and analysis within agreed deadlines.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT and VIES forms.
  • Preparation of Payroll on behalf of clients.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Any relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CAT, CIMA) is highly desirable.
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant professional experience within a similar role is a must.
  • Previous managerial and team leadership experience is essential.
  • Fluency in Greek & English.
  • Excellent knowledge of ISAs and IFRSs and their practical application.
  • Excellent knowledge of VAT, Social Insurance & Payroll.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to meet deadlines efficiently.
