CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit & Accounting services to both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit an Associate Auditor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will perform audit engagements on behalf of a portfolio of clients, ranging from small holding companies to medium-sized trading companies. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and be working towards a professional accounting qualification. Our client is seeking a candidate with up to 3 years of proven experience, ideally working in Audit who is fluent in both verbal and written Greek & English. This represents a fantastic opportunity for a talented audit professional to further develop their skills and experience within a forward-thinking, collaborative environment.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Perform audit engagements.
  • Assist other auditors as requested.
  • Report to Managers on daily tasks and client issues.
  • Responsible for performing the statutory audit for various companies ranging from small holding companies to medium trading companies.
  • Prepare the Financial Statements of companies.
  • Prepare various tax returns including companies income tax returns.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in the field of Accounting & Finance or related subject.
  • In the process of ACCA studies and maximum 3 years of audit and/or accounting experience in a reputable firm.
  • Fluent in both Greek and English.
  • Knowledge of Caseware Working papers and Caseware Audit International will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills.
  • Must have very good analytical skills and time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as a team member.
