As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the finance department. Your duties will include accounting assignments in either insurance (Life insurance, Life and Non-Life reinsurance) the financial services sector, and real estate, covering traditional accounting activities such as bookkeeping, tax and financial reporting (e.g.IFRS9, IFRS 17) and/or assisting with the external audit, as well as broader topics including new legislation, big data/analytics, and reporting to the Regulator and the Central Bank. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Statistics, Economics, and holders of the LCCI Higher diploma or those working towards the ACCA qualification are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in a relevant role is desirable, although full training will be provided, and Recent Graduates are therefore encouraged to apply. You will need to be fluent in verbal and written Greek and English, and any knowledge of additional languages, in particular German, will be considered an advantage.
