The successful applicant will play a key role in optimizing workshop performance, driving continuous improvement, fostering a culture of excellence, and supporting the company’s broader operational goals. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related field who possess at least 3+ years of proven working experience in workshop management or a related role. Strong technical expertise in fleet maintenance, and workshop operations is essential, and knowledge of Euro VI engines is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Identifying and implementing technical and operational solutions for existing challenges in the workshop and fleet, including analysing systematic failures and preparing reports for resolution.
  • Establishing a comprehensive inspection plan for the fleet to ensure road traffic safety, coordinating with operations to schedule planned inspections and required maintenance.
  • Participating in the annual budgeting process, monitoring the consumption of parts, labour, and other costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Supervising payment procedures to external suppliers, ensuring all approvals have been granted by the Engineering Director.
  • Monitoring the output and productivity of workshop staff, ensuring efficient material usage and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with security policies, data protection, health & safety, road traffic safety, quality assurance, and environmental protection within workshop operations.
  • Conducting risk assessments in coordination with the Health & Safety department and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Identifying staff training needs and making appropriate recommendations for skill development.
  • Preparing technical reports and improvement proposals for review and approval by the Engineering Director.
  • Addressing threats and opportunities that could impact the company’s environmental and road traffic safety performance.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of proven working experience in workshop management or a related role.
  • Strong technical expertise in fleet maintenance, and workshop operations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify problems, and propose effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and systems for evaluating and resolving active code errors in electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of Euro VI engines is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Environmental Protection, and Occupational Health & Safety is highly desirable.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek languages, both verbal and written.
