The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for managing, maintaining and troubleshooting VoIP infrastructure. You should be educated to degree level in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or another related field, and possess hands-on experience with FreePBX, Asterisk, and QueueMetrics, as well as the ability to work closely with providers to resolve technical issues. A strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP) and related technologies is a must, as well as the ability to use VoIP Monitor or similar tools for traffic analysis. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and configure FreePBX and Asterisk systems.
  • Administer and optimize QueueMetrics and other call centre systems.
  • Open and track support tickets with VoIP service providers regarding technical issues.
  • Run commands and perform troubleshooting directly on PBX servers.
  • Monitor VoIP traffic using VoIP Monitor and identify potential issues.
  • Conduct spam checks and take preventive measures to ensure system integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve VoIP system performance and reliability.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • Proven experience with FreePBX and Asterisk configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with administration and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP) and related technologies.
  • Ability to use VoIP Monitor or similar tools for traffic analysis.
  • Experience in managing spam and fraudulent call detection.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience with Linux command-line administration.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, firewalls, and NAT in VoIP environments.
  • Knowledge of call centre operations and performance KPIs.
