As a Trainee Accountant you will be provided with the relevant training and guidance in order to carry out a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties, including the recording of accounting entries, and the preparation of accounting files. Our client is seeking applicants who hold strong academic background in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Risk Management, or similar, who have the desire and drive to forge successful careers within the accounting field. Any previous experience will be considered an advantage, although full training will be provided, and therefore Recent Graduates are encouraged to apply. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Recording of accounting records.
  • Preparation of accounting files.
  • Reconciliation of banks, customers, suppliers and stocks accounts.
  • VAT compliance.
  • Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and practices.
  • Any other relevant accounting and bookkeeping duties.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Applied Statistics/Risk Management or a related field with overall grade of 7.0 for Cyprus Universities, 2:1 for British Universities and 3.3 for American Universities.
  • Any accounting certification/s or prior accounting work experience will be considered as an advantage, but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek languages.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing financial documents.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • IT literacy.
