CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ leading and most well-known companies operating in the FMCG sector, we are seeking to recruit a Trade Marketing Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Trade Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for optimizing product placement, visibility, and promotions to ensure products are available and highlighted, acting as a bridge between marketing brand awareness and sales execution. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Business, Sales, Marketing, or another relevant field, who possess at least 2+ years experience in a similar position gained working in the FMCG sector. Hands on and in-depth knowledge of the FMCG sector is essential, along with fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Communication with customers for new product listings, code changes, and replacements.
  • Creating/suggesting marketing and sales promo plans, brand building, and commercial agreements implementation.
  • Key customer performance evaluation and analysis (Profitability, Product Mix etc).
  • Check and confirm with accounts after promotions and any other charges and investments related to the brands.
  • Communication with suppliers, media, ad agencies, graphic designers, and any other people related to the business.
  • Contact regular market visits and build customer awareness.
  • Investing time in gathering market and trade information.
  • Review of stock levels.
  • Resolve and tackle any stock issues on time.
  • Prepare samples of promotional packs/co packs/labels for ingredients and languages etc...
  • Trade data collection, and retail audit performance knowledge and analysis.
  • Sales training & presentations, promo activities evaluation, setting of monthly & annual sales targets and follow up on the results.
  • Monitor, follow up and have an organized plan/system that includes and highlights all important issues per brand/product.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • An academic background in a relevant field of study is desirable.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position within the FMCG sector.
  • Knowledge of the FMCG trade & retailers with good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Very good analytical and communication skills (reporting, research, evaluation etc).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Initiative, results driven and hardworking individual.
  • Fluent in English and Greek.
