CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique Tax, Audit and Business Advisory Firm with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Tax Manager to join their growing team. As a Tax Manager, you will lead and manage the Tax Department, overseeing the delivery of high-quality tax compliance and advisory services, working closely with both international and local clientele. Our client is seeking applicants who are full members of a recognised accounting body, who possess 5+ years of experience working in the tax department of a professional services firm. You will need to hold excellent knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation, along with a good understanding of international tax matters. An outstanding remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a competitive base salary, performance-related bonus, 13th salary, provident fund, hybrid working options, and more! Working hours are 08:30 – 17:30 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 08:30 – 14:30 each Wednesday, and 08:30 – 15:30 each Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Managing and leading the tax department.
  • Supervising tax planning engagements.
  • Reviewing tax computations.
  • Mentoring and training less experience members of the Tax Department.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Cyprus tax legislation and relevant reporting deadlines.
  • Staying abreast of legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and clients, and ensure that the firm’s practices comply with the latest laws and guidelines.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding tax services, including cross-selling to existing clients and developing new client relationships.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Qualified ACCA, ACA, or CPA.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a tax department of a professional services firm.
  • Excellent knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation and good understanding of international tax matters.
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a team, multitask, and meet deadlines.
