CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Corporate Services, with fully fledged offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Tax Manager to join their growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing expert advice on various tax matters, including tax planning strategies, tax reorganisations and restructurings, as well as the preparation of tax advisory reports and memos. You should be educated to degree level in a relevant field, and will need to be a full member of a recognised accounting body (ACCA/ACA/CPA). Our client is seeking applicants who possess at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in tax services or an advisory role, with in-depth knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation and international tax principles. Experience with transfer pricing will be considered an advantage, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Provide expert advice on various tax matters, including tax planning strategies, tax reorganisations and restructurings, and preparation of tax advisory reports and memos.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients and tax authorities, addressing and resolving tax-related issues, and representing clients in negotiations and discussions with tax authorities.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. This includes assessing staff performance and providing guidance for professional development.
  • Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and clients, and ensure that the firm’s practices comply with the latest laws and guidelines.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding tax services, including cross-selling to existing clients and developing new client relationships.
  • Assist Senior Management with proposals and business development initiatives.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • ACCA/ACA/CPA Qualified.  
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in tax services and/or advisory roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation and international tax principles.
  • Ability to analyse complex tax issues, exercise sound judgment, and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience in transfer pricing would be considered an advantage.
  • Strong organisational, management, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • High ethical standards and a strong commitment to professional excellence and client service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with tax-related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English.
