CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Accounting and Tax related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Tax Associate to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Working alongside a team of experienced Tax Professionals you will be responsible for completing and submitting all relevant Tax returns for Companies and Individual clients, as well as preparing and submitting requests for certificates for tax clearance, Non-Dom, Tax residency, Double Tax Treaties and more. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, and holders of any relevant accounting qualifications are encouraged to apply. Sound knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations is preferred, but continuous training will be provided. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, including a 13th Salary, Provident Fund, Flexible working hours, and Friday afternoon’s off.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Work with team members under the guidance of Senior Tax Professionals.
  • Complete and submit all relevant Tax returns for Companies and Individual clients.
  • Preparation and submission of requests for certificates for tax clearance, Non - Dom, Tax residency, Double Tax Treaties etc...
  • Tax review of clients’ Financial Statements.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in Tax Law.
  • Reporting to the Tax Director about the status of assigned work.
  • Analyze clients' financial data to identify tax implications and recommend appropriate tax treatments to supervisors.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is preferred, but continuous training will be provided.
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA) will be considered as an advantage.
  • Relevant experience will also be considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft office tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and independently when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Customer-oriented with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
