CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a global provider of Professional Services with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Tax Assistant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Tax Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing basic tax computations, as well as assisting in the preparation of individual and corporate tax returns under supervision. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Applied Statistics or another relevant field, and candidates pursuing the ACA/ACCA qualification are encouraged to apply. Experience in taxation will be considered as an advantage, but not essential, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Preparing basic tax computations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of individual and corporate tax returns under supervision. (e.g., TD1, TD4, TD7, TD 614).
  • Assisting with correspondence and follow-ups with the Cyprus Tax Authorities.
  • Executing various types of tax administration work.
  • Supporting the team during busy periods (e.g., filing season) with ad-hoc duties.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Excellent academic qualifications University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Applied Statistics or a related field.
  • Applicants working towards the ACA/ACCA qualification are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in taxation (less than 2 years) will be considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent use, both oral and written, of English and Greek language.
  • IT literacy (CaseWare, Excel etc).
  • Teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
