CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of cloud-based accounting, compliance, and advisory solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Supervisor Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Supervisor Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accounting books on behalf of clients, as well as preparing reconciliation statements and computing VAT returns. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar, and holders of, or those working towards any relevant accounting qualification such as the LCCI, ACCA or ACA are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess approximately 4+ years of accounting experience in a relevant position, with any experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks Online considered a distinct advantage. Sound knowledge of IFRS principles is essential, along with excellent knowledge of the English language. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accounting books on behalf of clients.
  • Preparing reconciliation statements and computing VAT returns.
  • Preparing and maintaining payroll by collecting information, calculating, and entering data.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including cash flow, income statements, and balance sheets.
  • Preparing financial statements and appropriate accounting files for audit.
  • Reviewing of management reports and accounting files.
  • Supervision of staff on their assignments to ensure effective and efficient execution and completion of work.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop junior members of staff.
  • Review and finalization of bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and VIES assignments.
  • Setting and monitoring of budgets and cost controls.
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports and relevant statements.
  • Liaising with auditors and provision of comprehensive accounting information and clarifications required for the completion of audit assignments.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • An academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar is desirable.
  • Holders of, or those working towards any relevant accounting qualifications are welcome to apply.
  • 4+ years of experience in a relevant accounting position is a must.  
  • Experience in bookkeeping for both local and international clients.
  • Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks Online will be considered a distinct advantage.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Excellent organizational skills and accuracy.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
