CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Private Equity Firm with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Staff Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the team operates efficiently by maintaining organized workflows, keeping information accurate and up to date, and facilitating the timely sharing of documents and resources. As part of your role, you will manage and maintain entity and investor data, perform monthly reconciliations of investor activity, and assist in the compilation of quarterly and annual reports. Any previous experience working in the financial services sector, preferably private equity or venture capital is highly desirable, and strong knowledge of MS Office applications is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and maintain entity and investor data across multiple systems, including Investran, Partners Capital, Diligent, and Integrity.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of investor activity and balances between key systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist in the compilation and distribution of quarterly and annual reports to carried interest holders and senior management.
  • Recording weekly cash activity and performing month-end reconciliations.
  • Assisting with the investment of excess cash.
  • Facilitating the reimbursement of expenses to the management company.
  • Managing bank account administration, including account opening/closing and KYC requests.
  • Maintaining carry holder wire instructions for distributions.
  • Provide support to current and former carry holders by responding to inquiries, running ad hoc reports, and compiling information for tax filings.
  • Manage the Xtranet site, ensuring timely document uploads and providing access to users and tax advisors.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • A degree within Accounting, Finance, or another closely related field is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in an accounting, finance, or tax role.
  • Experience in the financial services sector, preferably private equity or venture capital is highly desirable.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Aptitude for learning new software and technologies (e.g., entity management system, DocuSign, treasury management system).
  • Fully fluent in English.
  • Exceptional integrity, discretion, and a commitment to handling sensitive and confidential information with the highest degree of care.
  • Strong work ethic, sense of ownership, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactive self-starter with a desire for continuous learning and improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player focused on delivering superior service and high-quality work.
