As a Software QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of software releases and enhancing the customer experience. This role involves continuous collaboration with various stakeholders in a project to ensure excellence in execution, development, and delivery. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Computer Science, or another closely related field, who possess previous experience with software testing and a sound understanding of QA methodologies. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Create and execute tests to validate software functionality.
  • Prepare test environments and data required for test execution.
  • Contribute to efforts aimed at increasing test coverage.
  • Identify, report, and track software bugs.
  • Provide frequent updates on QA testing status.
  • Perform regression testing on Release Candidates.
  • Work closely with the development team to analyse and resolve defects.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a QA engineer or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies.
  • Basic Linux usage and networking skills.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of a scripting language (preferably Python).
  • Experience with the Playwright framework is a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
