Senior Tax Associate
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Tax Associate to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar, who possess 3+ years of relevant tax advisory experience gained working for a professional services firm. Full members of a relevant accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CPA) are encouraged to apply, as well as those working towards a professional qualification. You will need to possess sound knowledge of domestic and international direct tax related matters pertaining to individuals and companies, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. Our client offers an attractive remuneration package, based on skills and experience, as well as excellent working hours, which include Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 08:15 – 17:00 with a 30 minute lunch break, and from 08:15 - 15:00 each Wednesday and Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review
of Financial Statements from a direct tax perspective.
- Preparation
and filing of personal and corporate income tax returns.
- Assistance
in the provision of advisory and consultancy services to clients on direct
tax issues.
- Preparation
of tax memorandums for companies and individuals.
- Participate
in meetings with clients and gathering all necessary information and
documentation for further processing.
- Work
with other departments within the firm to address tax-related matters.
- Provide
support in the execution of various business development initiatives (e.g.
preparation of newsletters, proposals, presentations).
- Stays
up to date with all developments in the field of taxation.
- Any
other Direct Tax related tasks.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Holders
of a degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or another closely related
field.
- Part or
Fully Qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA.
- 3+
years of experience in a Tax focused role within a professional services
firm is a must.
- Relevant
experience in dealing with preparation of audited financial statements.
- Knowledge
of computerized Accounting Systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent
Knowledge of Caseware Software (Caseware Audit international).
- Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages.
