Senior Security Engineer
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ most well-established and respected providers of IT Services & Solutions to a wide range of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Security Engineer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of cutting-edge security systems to clients. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field, who possess 3+ years of proven experience in security engineering. Familiarity with Fortinet technologies and cloud security is highly desirable, and fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Design,
implement, and manage security systems to deliver cutting-edge security
solutions to customers.
- Develop
and maintain security policies, support procedures and system/solution
documentation.
- Provide
technical support services, conduct root cause analysis of service outages
and implement preventive measures and best practices.
- Communicate
with clients and stakeholders to identify requirements, provide expert
advice, and progress updates.
- Collaborate
internally with engineering teams, sales and project management to support
process efficiency and improved productivity.
- Continuously
develop technical skills and obtain technical certifications as required
by vendor partnerships.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University
degree in Computer Engineering, or other IT related field.
- At
least 3 years of proven working experience as a Security Engineer or
similar role.
- Familiarity
with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb, FortiMail
FortiClient, etc.) is a significant plus.
- Knowledge
of networking protocols.
- Knowledge
of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Professional
certifications such as Fortinet NSE or similar are highly desirable.
- Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability
to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing
to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities (in English and Greek).
