CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Accounting & Financial Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will monitor the preparation of the entire payroll cycle for a diverse portfolio of clients ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on time delivery. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, or other closely related fields, who possess at least 3 years experience in a payroll focused role. Advanced knowledge of Cyprus labour legislation and tax regulations is essential, and knowledge of Insoft payroll software will be considered an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Processing of the monthly payroll including calculations of salaries, overtime, deductions, etc.
  • Work closely with the HR department in respect of monthly payroll changes (newcomers, leavers, salary changes, etc.).
  • Updating of the payroll software including all the information received from the HR department.
  • Payment of Net Salaries, Social Insurance contributions, GESY and PAYE.
  • Preparing monthly, annual and any ad hoc payroll reports.
  • Resolve payroll queries and manage complex payroll issues.
  • Providing monthly pay slips and IR63 to employees.
  • Review and submission of Employer Income Tax Return form (IR7).
  • Monitoring PAYE deductions including cases of 20%/50% reduced rates.
  • Coordination and monitoring of the funding of the payroll bank accounts based on estimated payroll costs.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration or similar.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a payroll position is a must.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cyprus labour legislation and tax regulations is essential.
  • Knowledge of Insoft payroll software will be considered an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Team player, able to work under pressure, problem-solving.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek languages, both written and oral.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
