CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a global provider of Professional Services, with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Internal Audit & Compliance Consultant to join their growing Team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be part of a financial services-focused team delivering a variety of tailor-made solutions to clients, which are predominantly regulated entities. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Law, or other closely related fields, who possess prior work experience in a regulated entity or a consulting firm, with exposure in the areas of internal audit, capital adequacy, AML, and regulatory compliance. Holders of, or those working towards the ACCA, ACA, CFA, CIA, and/or CAMS qualification are encouraged to apply. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver a variety of tailor-made solutions to clients, which are mainly regulated entities (e.g. Cyprus Investment Firms, Alternative Investment Fund Managers, Alternative Investment Funds, Electronic Money Institutions, etc).
  • Support the regulated entities to comply with the applicable regulatory requirements of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, European Securities and Markets Authority, etc...
  • Participate in the delivery of projects in areas such as internal audit, regulatory compliance, AML, governance and controls, risk assessments, and risk management. 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in areas such as Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Law.
  • Holder of a Professional Qualification: ACA / ACCA / CFA / CIA and / or CAMS would be considered as an advantage.
  • Prior work experience in a regulated entity or a consulting firm, with exposure in the areas of internal audit, capital adequacy, AML and regulatory compliance. 
  • Highly motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with an ability to take initiative, solve problems and deliver results.
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lead teams and coach more junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, G-suite).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek.
