CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Financial Services, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Finance Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Senior Finance Accountant, you will play a key role in the finance function, gaining exposure to financial reporting, month-end processes, regulatory requirements, and the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing financial services business. Our client is seeking applicants who are newly (or partly) qualified ACA, ACCA, who hold previous experience within an audit firm or professional services environment. You will need to have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, with advanced Excel skills. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes private health insurance, a pension plan, and remote working options every Wednesday. Working hours are from 09:00 – 18:00 from Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial information across the business.
  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial reports, KPIs, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making by Senior Management.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors throughout the audit process.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies.
  • Assuming responsibility for the daily client money reconciliation and other client money issues including the annual client money audit.
  • Driving continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks to support scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support commercial decision-making.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning activities.
  • Leading or contributing to finance transformation initiatives, systems enhancements, and strategic projects as the business continues to grow.
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to junior members of the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous development.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Newly (or partly) qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Previous experience within an audit firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
  • Experience with accounting software and financial systems will be considered an advantage.
  • Interest in fintech, financial services, and technology-driven businesses.
