Senior Data Analyst
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Group of Companies operating in the Shipping Industry, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Data Analyst to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining semantic models and PBI dashboards in very close collaboration with the business. You will play an important role in jointly building and developing the internal data team and work closely with cross-functional teams to improve data awareness and usage in the Company. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Process Management, Business IT & Management or a related field, who possess previous experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power BI data visualisation software is a must, along with experience with database structures and maintenance. Key
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Advocate
for and promote a data-driven culture within the organization,
collaborating with various departments to align on data best practices and
encourage data literacy.
- Translate
business requirements into advanced semantic models and Insightful
dashboards.
- Propose
new features and best practices to improve the maturity of the BI
platform.
- Ensure
data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports.
- Stay
updated with the latest Power BI features and industry trends to enhance
reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate
with Data Engineers to define efficient data pipelines and integrate new
data sources.
- Limited travel required.
Key
Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s
or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Process
Management, Business IT & Management, Business Technology or a related
field.
- Previous
equivalent work experience in a similar role.
- Experience/expert
with Microsoft Power BI.
- Knowledge
of data visualization software is mandatory.
- Experience
in database structure and maintenance.
- Experience
in data analytics and statistical tools is mandatory.
- Knowledge
of Agile (Scrum) development.
- Experience
supporting users, running feedback sessions with customers and execute
testing.
- Basic
proficiency with API Management and mapping import scripts.
- Good
understanding of SQL and DAX.
- Experience
working in a fast pace, high-growth company.
- Ability
to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to ensure a high quality of data and BI projects.
