CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Accounting Firm with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join their growing team. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for overseeing the provision of various accounting and bookkeeping services to a portfolio of both local and international clients. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, who possess proven experience in a relevant role. Working experience with accounting software will be considered an advantage, and sound knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Daily bookkeeping - organise and maintain financial records for local and international clients.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company’s policies.
  • Manage general ledger and perform monthly reconciliations of suppliers, customers, banks.
  • Preparation of local and international VAT returns.
  • Dealing with various registration and de-registration processes of Companies, individuals and self-employed persons to Tax Department, VAT and Social Insurance.
  • Correspondence and communication with clients.
  • Managing his/her portfolio of clients and coordination with the audit team.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

 

  • A University/College degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline is desirable.
  • Holders of any relevant accounting qualifications are encouraged to apply.
  • Sound knowledge in bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Working experience with accounting software will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in both the Greek and English languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
