CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax-related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Audit Associate to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Senior Audit Associate, you will be responsible for conducting audit procedures in accordance with professional standards. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, who possess approximately 3 years of previous experience in Audit. You should be working towards a professional accounting qualification, and hold sound knowledge of Caseware software. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Conducting audit procedures in accordance with professional standards. 
  • Reviewing financial information and audit documentation.
  • Preparing analytical reviews, budgeting, financial statements and disclosures. 
  • Implementing company best practices to prepare financial statements, client correspondence and other audit-related documentation.
  • Collaborating with internal departments and associates to ensure the completion of deliverables.
  • Liaising with clients and contribute to building strong client relationships.  
  • Reviewing audit work of more junior members of the team. 
  • Preparing tax computation, tax returns and distributions and upload information on tax portal in coordination with Tax Director.
  • Participating in training junior members of the team by providing guidance and coaching.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Reporting any issues to Audit/Engagement Manager.
  • Liaising with the Accounting department in regard to the updating of client folders with relevant documentation.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
  • Partly qualified or studying towards a Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA/ACA).
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant auditing experience. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Greek.
  • Excellent knowledge of CaseWare software.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office.
  • Familiar with IFRSs and ISAs.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Customer-orientation.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
