Senior Android Developer
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a regulated financial services platform that empowers users to invest in both traditional and digital assets seamlessly through a mobile-first experience, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Android Developer to join their growing teams based in either Paphos or Nicosia. As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for the design and development of advanced applications for the Android platform. As part of your role you will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Proven experience with Android application development is essential, along with sound knowledge the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies. A highly attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience. With offices in both Nicosia and Paphos, you can be based in either city, and Hybrid working options are also offered by our client.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Design
and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Help
maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Work
with outside data sources and APIs.
- Unit-test
code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general
reliability.
- Work on
bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously
discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development
efficiency.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proven
working experience with Android application development.
- Have
published at least one original Android app.
- Experience
with Android SDK.
- Experience
with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Working
knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and
emerging technologies.
- Solid
understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Good
verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity
with version control tools, such as Git.
- Excellent
communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience
with RESTful APIs is desirable.
- Familiarity
with Agile methodologies is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies will be considered a plus.
