Senior Accounting Associate
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a CySEC regulated Investment Firm with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accounting Associate to join their growing finance team based in Nicosia. Working as part of an established finance department, the successful applicant will handle a variety of accounting duties including updating and maintaining accounting books and general ledgers, performing regular bank and vendor reconciliations, and preparing regular financial reports for Management. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another relevant field, who are ideally full members of a recognised accounting body. You should possess approximately 3+ years of proven experience in a relevant accounting role, and be fluent in written and spoken English, and possess strong skills in MS Office, including Excel. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Updating and maintaining the
Group Companies’ books and general ledgers.
- Performing banks and vendors
reconciliations.
- Performing reconciliations
related to clients’ money and assets.
- Updating working papers (incl.
among others fixed asset registers, prepayment lists, accrual lists, and
payments lists).
- Preparing regular financial
reports (incl. among others trial balances and Profit and Loss), as well
as other ad hoc reports upon request by Management.
- Complying with internal company
policies and procedures.
- Undertaking any other related
tasks assigned by Management.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or another related field.
- Full members of the ACA/ACCA are encouraged to apply.
- 3+ years of experience in an
accountant role is a must.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, with Proficiency in Excel.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- SAP accounting system experience will be considered as an advantage.
- Previous working experience in the CFD industry will be considered as an advantage.
- Very good organizational and prioritization skills.
- Hard working with good interpersonal skills.
- Work ethic and punctuality.
