Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Support the Financial Controller in managing the monthly accounting close for several companies across EU jurisdictions, ensuring accounting records are complete, accurate and submitted within agreed deadlines.
• Prepare and review management accounts, financial statements and internal financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with Group reporting requirements.
• Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate outstanding items and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.
• Manage and reconcile intercompany balances, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved on a timely basis.
• Prepare annual financial statements and supporting documentation for audits.
• Support the Financial Controller during year-end close and external audits, including preparing schedules, responding to audit queries and coordinating information requests.
• Assist and cooperate with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors.
• Assist in monitoring the Company's loans and financing arrangements, including monitoring compliance with applicable financial covenants.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT, CIT and other statutory and regulatory returns, ensuring all filing deadlines are met.
• Support the preparation and submission of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
• Assist with cash flow management and forecasting, including monitoring expected receipts and payments and providing relevant information to the Financial Controller.
• Ensure the timely payment of company obligations to suppliers, tax authorities and other parties, while monitoring expenditure against approved budgets.
• Ensure appropriate controls are in place, for compliance requirements such as SOX.
• Support the local Finance Director and Financial Controller on accounting, tax and financial matters in relevant meetings with Management, as required.
• Guide, supervise and support junior members of the finance team, including providing training and reviewing their work where required.
• Support with ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting and other finance-related requests.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
• Member of a recognised professional accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CPA).
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, and Caseware.
• Experience with SAP Business One and LucaNet would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience working with multiple entities and/or EU jurisdictions would be an advantage.
• Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on and results-oriented approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different functions and levels of seniority.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
