CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Family Office with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Senior Accountant, you will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties, including performing regular reconciliations, maintaining and updating accounting records, preparing and submitting VAT returns, and maintaining accounting records for a small portfolio of clients. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and holders of, or those working towards any professional accounting qualifications are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess proven experience in a relevant Accounting, Audit and/or Finance role, and be a strong user of MS Office applications, including Excel, with any knowledge of Navision/Microsoft Business Central accounting software considered an advantage. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Perform bank and other balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update accounting and bookkeeping records for the company and its subsidiaries on a daily basis.
  • Prepare and submit Annual Returns and liaise with external auditors.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, SDC, income tax and other statutory filings as required.
  • File tax returns and liaise with tax authorities.
  • Prepare management accounts and ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Liaise with corporate administrators, auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with basic Cypriot tax matters and related administration.
  • Maintain proper accounting records for a small portfolio of clients.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate with auditors.
  • Perform other finance-related duties as required by Management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Holders of, or those working towards a professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply (ACA/ACCA/CPA).
  • Proven experience in a relevant Accounting, Audit and/or Finance role is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel.
  • Knowledge of Navision/Microsoft Business Central accounting software will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well independently, and as part of a Team.
