CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Group of Companies operating in the Shipping Industry, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for holding companies, entering and updating financial data in the ERP system accurately, processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, preparing and submitting VAT returns in accordance with local regulations, and more! Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, who possess 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics is essential, and an understanding of VAT and tax regulations is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for holding/management companies. 
  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (vendor transactions, bank reconciliations).
  • Enter and update financial data in the ERP system accurately.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving ERP-related issues.
  • Support the accounting team in optimizing ERP functionality.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Handle intercompany recharges and allocations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with local regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance documents.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Understanding of VAT and tax regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
