CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of local and international clients, managing their day-to-day accounting and VAT obligations, among other duties. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and who posses at least 3+ years of relevant experience within a bookkeeping and/or auditor role. Knowledge of Caseware and payroll software will be considered an advantage, and fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Keeping timely and proper accounting records for clients.
  • Completing VAT and VIES returns.
  • Performing monthly reconciliations.
  • Collecting necessary documentation and preparing client files for audit.
  • Collecting, maintaining and updating client KYC documentation.
  • Prepare payroll calculations and execute tax and social insurance payments.
  • Reporting to the Company’s Management on a monthly basis and upon request and prepare any report required by the Company’s Management.
  • Participation and assistance in meetings with clients.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy & Finance or other related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience as bookkeeper and/or auditor is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and record complex transactions.
  • Excellent written & spoken communication skills in both Greek & English.
  • Good team player with strong ethic and willingness to develop.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Knowledge of Caseware and payroll software will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Fast learner.
