CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established and highly respected International Services company with offices in the heart of Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with Clients to deliver all group corporate accounting, fund accounting, financial reporting, tax and regulatory/compliance functions. Our client is seeking applicants to are educated to degree level from a well-respected University, and holders of an MBA are encouraged to apply. You will need to be a full member of a globally recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA), and possess approximately 2+ years of post-qualification experience in a relevant role. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Working closely with the clients’ senior management, finance executives and management in delivering the objectives and timetable for all group corporate accounting, fund accounting, financial reporting, tax and regulatory/compliance functions.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements.
  • Financial planning and control, including preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows.
  • Liaising and coordinating with the clients’ external auditors, as well as the internal audit and risk management functions to conduct reviews and prepare reports.
  • Cost control.
  • Development of new relationships.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness or timeliness through automation, simplification, or elimination.
  • Due Diligence.
  • Liaising and negotiating with advisors and counterparties.
  • Active involvement in ad-hoc projects.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Holder of a University Degree from a well-respected University.
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) will be considered an advantage.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified, with approximately 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Operational understanding of international accounting standards.
  • Fluent in English with good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Navision accounting package will be considered an advantage.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Experience using accounting software and databases.
  • Dynamic, results oriented individual, operating with speed and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and flexibility of approach.
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive with the ability to recommend solutions and proposals.
  • Highly ethical, trustworthy, reliable, discreet, with the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
