CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Group operating in the classified ads sector, and with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Risk & Compliance Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Risk & Compliance Manager, you will primarily be responsible for identifying, assessing and reducing risks across all business operations by monitoring and reporting risk exposures and providing recommendations for mitigation. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field, who possess approximately 5+ years of proven experience in Risk Management, Compliance, or similar. Any prior experience working in the adult entertainment or gambling industries will be considered a significant advantage, and fluency in both verbal and written English is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Identify, assess and reduce risks across all business operations by monitoring and reporting risk exposures and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures, consistently ensuring adherence to laws, regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate controls.
  • Assess website routinely, identify potential concerns and present solutions to stakeholders.
  • Be an escalation point for law enforcement requests and data queries.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update policies accordingly.
  • Work with the tech and product team on new solutions to ensure the business maintains a gold standard.
  • Manage internal and external audits and address any compliance gaps.
  • Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees, providing guidance and support to management and staff on compliance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and risk assessments.
  • Engage and build relationships with third parties (such as NGOs) to promote business safety.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Risk Management, Compliance, or a related role.
  • Experience gained working in the Adult Entertainment and/or Gambling sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g. AML).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Any professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) would be a plus.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with any knowledge of Italian considered an advantage.
