CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a regulated Investment Firm with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Reconciliation Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Reconciliation Officer, you will primarily be responsible for performing daily reconciliations of client funds including banks accounts, ledgers, PSPs balances and platform balances. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related fields, who possess approximately 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Fluency in both verbal and written English is essential, as well as strong knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Perform daily reconciliations of client funds including banks accounts, ledgers, PSPs balances and platform balances.
  • Investigate, research, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve reconciliation issues and discrepancies.
  • Prepare various regular and ad hoc reports related to clients’ funds and balances.
  • Assisting in year-end external and internal audits.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation for audit trail and compliance checks.
  • Complying with internal company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the optimization of the reconciliation process.
  • Undertaking any other related tasks assigned by Management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related field.
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Previous experience in the Financial Services industry will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously.
  • Team player.
