CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading Development & Construction company, we are seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation and delivery of construction projects, and will be responsible for the measurement of quantities and preparation of quantity reports. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or other closely related fields, who are members of ETEK. You will need to possess approximately 5+ years of experience in a similar position, and have proven experience in quantity measurement, cost estimation, and ensuring the timely and on-budget completion of projects. Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office (especially Excel), and project management tools such as MS Project is essential. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Measurement of quantities and preparation of quantity reports.
  • Cost estimation and participation in the tendering process.
  • Preparation, analysis, and assurance of project completion within budget.
  • Ordering of materials and management of payments according to agreements with suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Collaboration with subcontractors during project execution.
  • Preparation of work schedules.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering and membership with ETEK.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Native Greek speaker with excellent command of English (both written and spoken).
  • Excellent understanding of construction techniques, drawings, and cost estimation principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office (especially Excel), and project management tools (e.g. MS Project).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Valid driving licence and availability to visit construction sites.
