CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Engineering Firm specialising in the installation of Photovoltaic Systems for both residential and commercial properties here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Photovoltaic Systems Technician to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Photovoltaic Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic systems. This role ensures PV systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications. Prior experience with photovoltaic system installations will be considered a significant advantage, but not essential, and fluency in Greek is a must. You will need to hold a valid driver’s licence, and have the ability to work well as part of a team. Working hours are from 07:30 – 16:30 5 days per week.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Install photovoltaic systems including modules, inverters, mounting structures, wiring, and balance-of-system components.
  • Perform system commissioning, testing, and performance verification.
  • Basic electrical wiring of direct current (D.C) circuits.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, including fall protection and electrical safety.
  • Coordinate with engineers, electricians, project managers, and site supervisors.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers or internal teams as required.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • An academic background in a relevant field of study will be considered a plus, but not essential.
  • Experience in photovoltaic (PV) system installations will be considered a significant advantage.
  • A Certified PV Systems Installation certification is desirable.
  • An understanding of photovoltaic system design and operation is desirable.
  • Holder of a valid driver’s licence.
  • Fluent in Greek, with knowledge of English considered an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
