CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Accounting & Financial Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the entire payroll cycle for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on time delivery. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, or another related field, who possess a minimum of 2+ years of experience in payroll processing. You will need to have very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of any payroll software considered an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Processing of payroll including calculations of salaries, overtime, deductions, etc…
  • Work closely with the HR department in relation to monthly payroll changes (new employees, terminations, salary changes etc.)
  • Communicating with clients in respect of payroll-related queries that might arise and any other payroll matters.
  • Updating of the payroll software including all the information received from the HR department.
  • Payment of Salaries, Social Insurance contributions, and tax payments.
  • Ensuring employees are paid on time according to their contract (ie. salary, payment date).
  • Preparing monthly payroll reports and any ad hoc reports that might requested.
  • Providing monthly pay slips, and IR63 to employees.
  • Checking of IR59 forms to be completed correctly by the employees and processing in payroll.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following subjects: Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of any payroll software will be considered an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and detail oriented skills.
  • Team player, able to work under pressure, problem-solving.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek languages, both written and oral.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
