CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Tax & Accounting related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Payroll Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Payroll Manager you will primarily be responsible for the preparation and processing of monthly payroll on behalf of various clients and their employees here in Cyprus, as well as the preparation of payroll reports and payroll related tax forms. Our client is seeking applicants who possess proven experience in a relevant payroll-related position, who hold previous experience working with payroll software, as well as MS Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English are essential. Our client offers an attractive remuneration package, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Calculate payroll taxes, social insurance, and income tax for individuals and companies.
  • End to end processing of payroll on behalf of clients.
  • Communication with clients for information needed for the preparation of payroll.
  • Preparation of monthly payroll reports.
  • Submission of employer’s returns (IR7).
  • Preparation of the Certificate (IR63).
  • Updating and maintain payroll records.
  • Payroll reporting to meet statutory obligations.
  • Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions.

Key Skills/Experience:  

  • An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or any similar field will be considered an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a Payroll related role is essential.
  • Experience with the registration of Companies with the Tax Department, Social Insurance Department and Erganis.
  • General accounting knowledge will be considered an advantage.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to identify errors.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office.
  • Previous experience working with Accounting/Payroll software.
  • Excellent command of the Greek & English Language.
