CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax-related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll services for a portfolio of clients. The role involves managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with local labour and social insurance legislation, liaising with clients and authorities, and providing payroll-related support and guidance. An academic background in a relevant field of study will be considered an advantage, and you will need to possess approximately 3+ years of relevant payroll experience, ideally gained working for an accounting or professional services firm. Strong knowledge of Cyprus payroll legislation, Social Insurance, GHS, and employment-related obligations is essential, and fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure payroll calculations are compliant with Cypriot labour law, Social Insurance, GHS, and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related statutory returns and reports.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
  • Liaise directly with clients to obtain payroll information, clarify instructions, and resolve payroll-related queries.
  • Communicate with government authorities and third parties as required.
  • Monitor changes in payroll and employment legislation and ensure timely implementation.
  • Support audits, inspections, or payroll reviews by preparing relevant documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members on payroll-related matters where required.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Approximately 3+ years of relevant payroll experience, preferably within an accounting or professional services firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Cyprus payroll legislation, Social Insurance, GHS, and employment-related obligations.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Greek.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple client payrolls and meet strict deadlines.
  • Professional conduct, confidentiality, and strong ethical standards.
  • Well-organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Intelisoft and Caseware software will be considered an advantage.
