Mechanical Engineer (Installations & Commissioning)
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established engineering company that provides design and manufacturing solutions to the dairy industry, we are seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing Installations & Commissioning team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for the installation of mechanical dairy production systems on customer sites across Cyprus, and abroad. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, or other closely related fields, who possess approximately 3+ years of experience, preferably gained working in large-scale manufacturing construction or commissioning projects. You will need to be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English, and be able to interpret engineering documentation and technical drawings. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, provident fund, and overtime and travel compensation.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install
mechanical dairy production systems at customer sites, within
specifications, on time, and with quality that exceeds expectations.
- Review
equipment submittals and verify compliance with project requirements.
- Support
the procurement team by ensuring technical compliance of equipment and
materials.
- Monitor,
verify, and report on commissioning activities in line with project
timelines.
- Identify
potential claims or out-of-scope issues during installation and
commissioning.
- Lead
and coordinate a team during installation and commissioning phases.
- Prepare
method statements, procedures, and commissioning routines.
- Report
on work progress, flagging potential issues or delays and proposing
solutions.
- Perform
inter-discipline checks and ensure compliance with Health & Safety
standards.
- Respond
to customer queries and provide professional support onsite.
- Willingness
to travel abroad and work under shift conditions, as needed.
Key Skills/Experience:
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or other
closely related field.
- 3–5 years of experience, preferably in large-scale
manufacturing construction or commissioning projects.
- Strong written communication skills in both Greek and
English.
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation and
technical drawings.
- Relevant technical expertise in mechanical systems and
commissioning processes.
- Familiarity with dairy industry operations is
considered a strong plus.
- Strong teamwork, time management, and problem-solving
skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure and in dynamic
environments.
- Availability to travel internationally and work on 24/7
operating systems.
