CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of air travel solutions and support to the maritime industry, we are seeking to recruit a Marine Travel Operator to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Marine Travel Operator, you will be the first point of contact for all travel queries via phone and email. You will need to hold some previous experience in the corporate travel management industry, with any specific experience in the marine travel sector considered a significant advantage, but not essential. Basic knowledge of the Amadeus reservation system and IATA city/country codes is required, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. The willingness and ability to work on rotational 24/7 shift patterns is a must for this position. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Act as the first point of contact for all travel queries via phone and email.
  • Arrange domestic and international flights, accommodations, and ground transportation for seafarers and maritime staff.
  • Create detailed travel itineraries tailored to maritime schedules, including layovers and port transfers.
  • Provide alternatives in case of delays or cancellations to minimize disruptions.
  • Offer 24/7 support to address travel-related emergencies and resolve issues.
  • Build strong relationships with shipping companies, manning agencies, and individual seafarers.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • A diploma in Travel & Tourism is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in the corporate travel management industry, ideally marine but not essential.
  • Passion for providing great customer service and going the extra mile.
  • Basic knowledge of the Amadeus reservation system and IATA city/country codes.
  • The ability to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative.
  • Able to work under pressure and handle emergency situations with ease.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Cyprus.
  • Willingness to participate in a 24-hour duty rota.
