CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Family Office with diverse business interests and investments, we are seeking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will be responsible for the bookkeeping of private Cyprus and foreign companies & Individuals, the preparation of management reports and financial statements, as well as the preparation of budgets and forecasts. You will ideally hold an academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar, and will ideally be a full member of a recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CPA) or be working towards the qualification. Our client is seeking applicants who possess approximately 3+ years of previous, relevant experience in a related accounting and finance role and knowledge of CaseWare and/or SAP will be considered an advantage, but not essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Bookkeeping of private Cyprus and foreign companies & Individuals.
  • Preparation of Management reports and Financial Statements.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Management and monitoring of properties and statutory requirements relating to the properties owned in Cyprus and abroad (e.g. Dubai, UK, Australia, Jordan Qatar, Bahrain).
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax planning to minimize liabilities for UBOs re personal tax, companies, and properties.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns i.e. TD1, TD4, TD614.
  • Follow up and monitoring of the family’s interests i.e. receipts of rent of properties, dividends collection, rental agreements follow up, cash handling, settlement of bills and invoices.
  • Payroll of housekeeper and driver.
  • Dealing with Medical insurance i.e. requesting insurance authorization for claims, provision of medical bills and preparation of claim form requests.
  • Coordinate audits of the family-owned companies and other companies of the group when needed.
  • Manage Credit/Visa Cards, ensure enough balance in current accounts for expenses.
  • Arrangement to collect cash for travel or personal expenses when needed.
  • Other responsibilities and assignments as required by the Finance Director.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar.
  • Full members of a recognised accounting body, or those working towards a qualification are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ of professional experience in a relevant role is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must.
  • Knowledge of CaseWare and/or SAP will be considered an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
