CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Law Firm with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team. As a Litigation Lawyer, you will represent clients before District and Supreme Courts. Our client is seeking applicants who hold an LLB from a reputable University, who are full members of the Cyprus Bar Association. You will need to possess approximately 3+ years of post-qualification experience in Litigation, with a solid understanding of civil and criminal litigation procedures and rules. Any prior experience in personal injury claims, insolvency and/or banking law is highly desirable, and fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is essential, along with familiarity with the Cyprus iJustice system and electronic court filing processes. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience and working hours are from 08:00 – 18:00 with 2 hours break from 13:00 - 15:00 from Monday to Thursday, and on Friday until 15:00.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Represent clients before District and Supreme Courts in civil and criminal cases.
  • Draft court applications, legal opinions, pleadings, and procedural documents.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal agreements.
  • Assist with corporate law matters, including company formation and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide support on immigration services, such as residency and permit applications.
  • Be involved in property and real estate transactions, including due diligence, contract drafting, and land registry processes.

Key Skills/Experience:  

  • LLB Law degree is a must, LLM considered desirable.
  • Holders of the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) or Legal Practice Course (LPC) are encouraged to apply.
  • Admission to the Cyprus Bar Association is essential.
  • 3+ years of post-qualification legal experience in litigation.
  • Prior experience in personal injury claims, insolvency and/or banking law is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of civil and criminal litigation procedures and rules.
  • Experience in court appearances and representing clients before various courts.
  • Proficiency in drafting pleadings, legal documents, and court submissions.
  • Strong legal research and case analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with the Cyprus iJustice system and electronic court filing processes.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • High level of professional responsibility, ethics, and discretion.
