CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique Law Firm with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team. As a Litigation Lawyer, you will represent clients before District and Supreme Courts in both civil and criminal cases. Our client is seeking applicants who hold an LLB from a reputable University, who are full members of the Cyprus Bar Association. You will need to possess at least 1+ year of post-qualification experience in Litigation, with a solid understanding of civil and criminal litigation procedures and rules. Fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is essential, along with familiarity with the Cyprus iJustice system and electronic court filing processes. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Appearing in court independently, of under guidance from a Senior Lawyer.
  • Handling litigation cases from start to conclusion.
  • Drafting legal documents, and pleadings.
  • Reviewing and drafting contracts.
  • Liaising with external parties, intermediaries, and clients.
  • Prepare and provide legal advice and opinions.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Holder of an LLB from a reputable University.
  • Holders of an LLM are encouraged to apply.
  • Full member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
  • At least 1+ year of post-qualification experience in Litigation is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Organizational skills, integrity, responsibility, and professionalism.
  • Strong team orientation, ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Able to meet strict deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to take initiative.
