CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading provider of Legal Services, with specific expertise in the area of Personal Injury law here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Litigation Lawyer, you will primarily be responsible for preparing and presenting personal injury and medical negligence cases before district courts. Our client is seeking applicants who hold at least an LLB from a reputable University, who are full members of the Cyprus Bar Association, who possess approximately 2+ years of proven post-qualification experience in the Litigation field. Any prior experience with personal injury claims is highly desirable, and fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is essential. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and present personal injury and medical negligence cases before district courts.
  • Identify and implement improvements to internal systems for client services delivery, execution of litigation work, and provide suggestions to the Management of the Firm.
  • Act as a role model through effective positive leadership behaviours to engender the environment of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Supervise work of junior litigators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Meet yearly targets and KPI’s for revenue and work execution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, service standards, company policies and procedures and agreed operational and control processes.
  • Identify and report any concerns/risks to the Management in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide monthly reports to the Management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • LLB holder from a well-respected University.
  • A member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
  • Approximately 2+ years of proven post-qualification experience in Litigation is essential.
  • Prior experience with personal injury claims is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of both English and Greek.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong client service skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
