CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established CySEC regulated Investment Firm with expanding operations in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Legal Associate to join their growing team. Reporting to the Head of Legal, the successful applicant will provide essential support in handling a variety of legal tasks, including drafting and preparing standard secretarial documents, such as minutes, resolutions, incumbency certificates, and powers of attorney, and organizing legal records and ensuring proper archiving, document management, and retrieval for future use. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, and members of the Cyprus Bar Association are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess approximately 1+ year of professional experience working in a legal capacity within the FX sector, ideally with exposure to corporate and/or commercial Law, and be fluent in both verbal and written English. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the department with day-to-day legal operations, including organizing legal records and ensuring proper archiving, document management, and retrieval for future use.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and administer company procedures, including filing systems, record-keeping, scheduling, billing, and invoicing to support legal activities and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Draft and prepare standard secretarial documents, such as minutes, resolutions, incumbency certificates, and powers of attorney.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing standard legal documents and policies, including employment contracts, client agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
  • Liaise directly with the Cyprus Registrar of Companies on all corporate matters.
  • Support the renewal of legal documents, revising terms and conditions, and ensuring they remain up to date.
  • Prepare bank account application forms when necessary, both in Cyprus and abroad.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare reports, including assessing the impact of forthcoming national, European, and international regulations.
  • Assist with assigned projects, ensuring timely completion within set deadlines.
  • Provide support with various ad hoc projects as needed.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
  • 1-2 years of professional legal experience, (which includes legal training) preferably with exposure to corporate or commercial law.
  • Previous experience working in the FX sector is a must.
  • Basic understanding of legal principles, with the ability to quickly familiarize oneself with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • A proactive and self-motivated individual, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interest in developing professionally and growing within the legal field.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle a variety of tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a logical and structured approach to work.
