CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ leading corporate recovery firms with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Legal Advisor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements, pleadings, and correspondence, as well as liaising with external law firms, financial institutions and regulatory authorities. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, who are members of the Cyprus Bar Association. You will need to possess approximately 2+ years of relevant legal experience, with any previous exposure to insolvency matters considered a significant advantage, although relevant training will be provided. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek & English are essential. An attractive remuneration package will be offered based on qualifications and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review a wide range of commercial agreements, pleadings, and correspondence. 
  • Liaising with external law firms, financial institutions and regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct legal research on matters related to insolvency.
  • Completing tasks associated with insolvency procedures including the preparation of reports to creditors in connection with bankruptcies and/or liquidations and/or receiverships.
  • Drafting and/or reviewing legal opinions, memos, and articles.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • Master’s degree or Legal Practice Course (LPC) will be considered an advantage.
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant legal role is a must.
  • Previous experience relating to insolvency matters will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and oral.
  • Highly ethical and trustworthy individual.
